Understanding the trade
Wine is not a product like any other.
Nor is the software it needs.
A general-purpose CRM knows how to sell units to buyers. It does not know what an allocation is, or a vintage, or a tasting. That difference is what we have been building since 2003.
01
An allocation is not an order
Dividing a scarce volume among clients you want to keep, this year and in ten
years' time, is a judgement — not a data entry. The tool must show the history
before it lets anyone decide.
02
A client is not a contact
The same name may be an importer, a wine merchant, a restaurateur and a private
buyer who came to the tasting room. Three relationships, three price lists, one
record — and for VIP clients, an attentiveness that should not depend on anyone's
memory.
03
A tasting leaves a trace
Who tasted what, when, and where? A trade fair, the tasting room, a dinner, an
advance release: tasting notes are the raw material of the relationship. Scattered
across notebooks they are worth nothing; brought together they are worth a year of
prospecting.
04
The year does not begin in January
Harvest, en primeur releases, fairs, trade shows, the Christmas season: the
calendar sets the commercial rhythm. Software that ignores it gets ignored in return.
05
Everyone uses it
Sales, brand ambassadors, communications and marketing, visitor teams,
management: each needs a different view of the same data. We designed the tool for
the whole estate, not for one department.
06
Your tools already exist
Nobody wants to replace their accounting or their cellar software. Our work
begins where yours ends: making information flow between what you already have.
